Lament & Grief: Praying Our Pain
Episode 11: Today we are looking at Lament. When prayers feel stuck in your throat, Scripture teaches us to bring honest sorrow to God. Psalm 13:1–2 says, “How long, O LORD…?” Psalm 62:8 says, “Trust in him at all times… pour out your heart before him.” Psalm 142:2 says, “I pour out my complaint before him.” Lamentations 3:22–23 says, “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases… they are new every morning.” In this episode, we walk a simple path of lament—turn, complain, ask, trust—so grief becomes real prayer instead of silence.
You’ll hear Brian’s personal reflections on seasons of loss, a guided way to write your own four-move lament, and encouragement that John 11:35 says, “Jesus wept,” so you can weep with Him and to Him.
