Whose Opinion Rules? Fear of Man vs. Fear of the Lord
To celebrate our 10th episode of Coffee & Counseling, I reveal my new travel setup—the AeroPress Go Plus—and use it as a picture for today’s theme: when life is on the move, whose opinion are you brewing your decisions for? Proverbs 29:25 says, “The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is safe.” Proverbs 1:7 says, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge.” Isaiah 8:13 says, “The LORD of hosts… let Him be your fear.” And Paul says in Galatians 1:10, “Am I seeking the approval of man, or of God?” We’ll explore how fearing the Lord settles the heart, clarifies our yes/no, and frees us to love people more while needing their approval less.

This is usually where I answer one of your questions in about three minutes—the perfect sip while the coffee’s still hot. So shoot me your curiosities about biblical counseling, Scripture, or even your favorite coffee brew method. You can leave a voice message at the link below or email below.
This week a listener asks: “How do I stop caring so much about what people think?”
