Safe Harbor Education & Resources
Abuse can leave a woman confused, afraid, isolated, and unsure of what is normal, what is safe, or where to turn for help. Safe Harbor exists to provide biblically grounded education, practical tools, and trusted resources to help women recognize harmful patterns, think wisely about safety, and seek support without being rushed or pressured.
You do not need to have everything figured out before you ask for help.
You may be wondering:
Is what I am experiencing actually abuse?
Is my church a safe place to tell?
What should I expect from a wise church response?
How do I think about safety, boundaries, forgiveness, repentance, or reconciliation?
How can I protect and care for my children?
Who can help me think through my next step?
The resources on this page are designed to help bring clarity to those questions and to support women, advocates, counselors, pastors, and churches who want to respond with wisdom, truth, compassion, and care.
If You Are in Immediate Danger
If you believe you or your children are in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number.
If it is not safe to call from your own phone or device, consider using a trusted person’s phone or another safe device. If you believe your phone, email, location services, browser history, or shared accounts may be monitored, use caution when searching for help or changing passwords, as sudden changes can sometimes alert a controlling person.
Safe Harbor resources are educational and pastoral in nature. They are not a substitute for emergency services, legal advice, law enforcement, child-protection services, medical care, or individualized domestic-violence safety planning.
